I would love to practice biking once again like I did in my childhood.

Childhood

I used to love biking since I was a little kid. I used to take my bike out and spend hours biking round and round closely streets in our neighborhood. As I grew up, I stopped this activity, yet the love of it and the need for it kept trapped inside me and never went away. Now it’s only a few times per year, or even less, when I ever get the chance to go biking. The reasons for this is that it is socially not acceptable for an educated grown up person like myself to go biking in the streets of my neighborhood. That leaves me able to go biking only during summer vacations at Marsa Matrouh or other seaside places in Egypt.

Dream

My dream now is to return back to this enjoyable childhood activity of mine. It would give me both physical exercise as well as enjoyment and perhaps emotional satisfaction and mental balance too.

I would love to do biking as part of a team. Perhaps I can try to search for biking teams in Egypt and join them and prepare for entering biking reaces and competitions. Another, perhaps milder and maybe more pleasant, option would be to join just a group of biking hobbyists who do biking on a regular basis perhaps in the Maadi district of Cairo in Egypt. I believe that would be a good idea.

Implementation

I would need to buy and care for a good bike of my own. I can also be making some long distance trips along Egypt with my bike taking a digital camera with me. Perhaps that can help me with my Egypt Photopedia as well as the Biology Encyclopedia projects. What a wonderful idea! It would be so pleasant to record the experience of going through such a trip. I can then blog about it and put the photos, and perhaps also videos, online.
