Poverty Assistance

Offering direct assistance to poor families is one of the priorities of Resala. Assistance for poor families can take the form of supplying them with food, shelter, sanitary means, clothing, refrigerators and other necessities of life. The poverty assistance activity also helps poor families in getting furniture for their daughters who are about to get married. Finally, the poverty assistance activity at Resala acts as a channel connecting company owners with a pool of people who are looking for work.

You can volunteer to participate in distributing the food and other assistance forms to families together with a group of other volunteers. A bus takes all of you from in front of the Resala branch you have joined and transports you to the poor area where you will be distributing the food and other things on poor families. Volunteers are then split into smaller groups each having a guide to walk them to the houses of poor people.

You can also volunteer in discovery campaigns which are done before the distribution day. During such campaigns you visit the poor families and write a report about each of them. This helps in sorting out families that are truly in need of assistance from others who are just claiming to be in need.
