Poverty Exploration

The poverty assistance department at Resala offers several forms of assistance to families in need inside Egypt. In order to know which family is really in need and which is not and to know what are the exact needs of each family, Resala sends its volunteers to the homes of poor families to check their conditions.

Resala contacts a local NGO at the village or poor area which it will be visiting. The local NGO provides Resals with a list of names of poor families in that area and offers a number of local guides to take Resala volunteers to the homes of those poor families. Resala volunteers then visit each of those houses to check it out and sits with the family to inquire about their conditions and needs while filling a standard form supplied to the volunteers by Resala. Back at Resala, a Resala employee assesses the forms filled by the volunteers to determine which families that are in real need of assistance and what kind of assistance they are in need of.
