Money

Visit a Resala branch near you. Fill in a donation form with your name, address, telephone number and some other basic information. Indicate the monthly amount of money you would like to donate. Indicate in which sections you would like such donation to go (poor families, other activities … etc). A representative from Resala will pass by your home (or office) every month to collect the donation and provide you with a stamped receipt.

The beauty of this system is that it allows Resala to sustain its activities which help the poor, orphaned children and many others who are in need. Such sustained flow of funds enables Resala to plan ahead. This is much better than receiving cash in unpredictable bursts which can handicap a charity organization and not allow it to go ahead with its services in a smooth way around the year.

That system first stared under the name of “the ten pounds project”. The idea was to collect only 10 LE from donors but on a monthly basis. That system turned out to be a great success. When the element of ‘home delivery’ was added to it, that is a representative passes by your home or office to collect the donation, the success of the system became even greater. A representative from Resala first calls you by phone to remind you of the donation and to ask you at what time you would like the other representative to pass by you and collect the donation. After that the collector from Resala comes to you, provides you with a stamped receipt and collects your monthly donation. You may decide to pay 10 LE per month or more. You are free to choose the amount you want. The important things is that it be on a regular monthly basis.
